I was so excited reading this book that I had to restrain myself from applying to some of these companies before I finished reading.  Although I checked the websites of some of the companies listed in the book while reading, I was determined to read completely through and get all of the information before I continued.  Immediately afterwards I began the application process with two of the companies that were mentioned.

These are real job opportunities with established, reputable companies.  Mr. Maxwell has done a through job of weeding out the good employers from the vast number of scams and fake job opportunities that abound these days.  He also provides solid information about how to protect your self from falling for such scams.

I was just recently undergoing a job search for work outside of the home, and have found that so many of the employment ads in my local newspapers as well as the big online job search websites were postings for scams or jobs that didn’t really exist.  I decided to give up for awhile and return to searching for at home work opportunities.  When I received this book, it renewed my enthusiasm for the possibility of being able to turn my work at home dream into a reality.  I know that these are real companies with real jobs because I have researched some of them myself in the past, and have chatted online at forums with other Work-At-Home-Moms who have worked with some of these companies.

Mr. Maxwell has also included some other companies that were new to me, and I was very happy to learn about them.  Even though I had researched some of these companies before, I had never gone ahead with the application process with them as I felt a bit overwhelmed by it all, and it felt like an unreachable goal.  With this eBook, I now have all of the information I need in a step-by-step format to help walk me through it. This eBook is also very well written and the format is very nice and easy to read, unlike some other “How To” eBooks I have read.

My plan is to apply to several companies that I may qualify to work for, and hope to work with two or three at a time, as both other WAHMs and Mr. Maxwell have suggested.  I have found this to be true when I worked outside the home as a temporary employee as well – I often registered with several agencies at once, because if one didn’t have work for me, another one would, and I could stay employed nearly full-time as a professional temp, so I hope to become gainfully employed at home soon.

As a full time, stay at home mother, I was often looking out for opportunities when my kids were young to work from home and make enough income so that I could stay in the home with my children. This opportunity is one I would go for in a flash.

This booklet is a quick reference guide to how to start working from home as a Virtual Service Representative and lists some of the basic do’s and don’ts of seeking work, either as a company employee or as a freelance contractor.

The guide is practical and straight forward and an excellent resource for to help you get started in your own home business. I found the guide easy to read, simple to assimilate and not only did it give advice on skills, equipment and the application process, but also left me feeling confident that I could approach an employer or company today and be assured that I had everything I needed in order to sell myself successfully to the employer without wasting their time, or my own.

When I came across Arthur Maxwell’s book The EZ Way To Earn $30 An Hour I was at a point in my life where I was willing to do anything to be able to work from home. I had already spent so much money on books claiming to show me where I could find work from home jobs. I was skeptical about getting another. I figured I had already wasted a bunch of money I did not have I might as well get the book. Who knows, maybe it will be the answers to my prayers.

You see I have a daughter with special needs. She was currently attending public school, but they were not meeting her special needs. I wanted to be able to home school my daughter. This was not a possibility since I had to work to help support my family. That is why I was so desperate to find a legitimate work from home job.

I began reading through the book and was amazed at all the information. There are all types of great advice about how to find a work from home job. They even list several work from home companies. They tell you what the companies do, how much they pay, and how to contact them.

I never knew that companies would hire virtual service representatives. I always thought they worked in large call centers. This is the type of job I could do. I had plenty of experience working in telemarketing. Mr. Maxwell even lists the equipment that is needed for this type of job.

The first time I read Arthur Maxwell’s book “The EZ Way to Earn $30 an Hour – Doing Customer Service Work From Home”, I was expecting another book that promised a lot, but didn’t live up to the promise.

 I was wrong!

I was surprised to find that this book actually delivered more than I was expecting.  Mr. Maxwell has done his homework, and wrote a book that goes into detail about how to get started as a Virtual Service Representative (VSR).  This isn’t just a general discussion about the business; it deals with information such as what to look for when researching different companies, and what to avoid.

The EZ Way to Earn $30 an Hour – Doing Customer Service Work From Home highlights legitimate opportunities in this business.  After a brief introduction, Mr. Maxwell dives right in with a step-by-step action plan on how to get started.  This includes information about different companies that will require you to incorporate before they use you, and that some companies will hire you directly, while others prefer to use independent contractors and VSR’s.

This book also includes information about upgrades and equipment you may need to consider before going forward.  For instance, you mnay need computer upgrades to handle the software requirements that different companies might have.  You also may need to purchase your own headset to handle incoming phone calls.  Arthur covers that information, along with suggestions of where to find what you are looking for.

One of the biggest benefits of this book is the listing of companies that the author has researched that use VSR’s.  Unlike other books that just give a laundry list of companies, this book gives a summary of information for each company listed.  Before contacting the company, you will already have an idea of what they offer, and what you can expect from them.  This is a great headstart when doing your research.

The book ends with a “Tips to Ensure Your Success” section that contains some great common sense reminders.  It has reminders about professionalism, record keeping, and the most important tip of all: Get Started.

I really enjoyed this book.  It was easy to read, and was choked full of good, useful information.  I think what I liked most is that it is a realistic look at getting started as a Virtual Service Representative.  It does not contain hype about getting rich with no effort.  It spells out in real terms how many hours you need to commit, and realistic claims of how much different companies pay.

This is a great book for people who are looking for a second income opportunity, or for stay at home moms looking for extra income to help make ends meet.

As a person who longed to be able to work from home for ages, long before the masses seriously considered it a viable means of employment, I found this book, “The EZ Way to Earn $30 an Hour-Doing Customer Service From Home” incredibly helpful, and comforting at the same time. I have considered myself a veteran of the Work from Home Journey, but sadly, to no avail. Each time I found what seemed like a new opportunity, after digging a little deeper, found it to be just as cagey as the last. Even with keeping in mind that no legitimate job asks for money upfront for any reason, that hard and fast rule, it seemed that the scam artist were getting craftier in their mission. Had I had this manual of information years ago, I would have fared much better and not have as many grey hairs!

When one decides to take working from home seriously, the main roadblock they encounter is not knowing which are scams and which are legitimate.  They all look good. They all look promising. They all look like the answer to our problems. It’s only through a few trials and errors do we find out the skill to spot those that are not in our best interest. For the longest time, I have had the dream and hidden desire deep down inside about what it would be like to be my own boss and be working from the comfort of my own home. I've been doing customer service for well over 10 years, and it's always been the same story: go in for the interview, get accepted, then trudge in every day to do the job. I've lived in both Colorado Springs and Denver, Co, both large cities, and getting anywhere in either city is a major trial, and the jobs are almost always across town, and the first week, after going a time without a job, is difficult to handle because of the gas prices. Even after, I still had to use my hard-earned money to pay for the trip that I'm not getting paid for.

Customer service is my life, and I enjoy the work, but this is too much, and I've always wanted to do the work from home, but that always seemed like the holy grail of customer service work.

I'm glad I found Arthur Maxwell's book. After reading through the 26-page, get-straight-to-the-point e-book, I have a new glimmer of hope that I can do that. There's no fluff in the book, and it's an easy read. Arthur's got a nice and simple style that's a pleasure to read.

The first half of the book is a step by step guide on how to set yourself up as a professional businessperson in this field. He lays out the steps and doesn't leave anything out, including what you should get and what you should set up and what to do first.

He actually goes above and beyond and gives some priceless resume tips that I've never seen anywhere else. This is some common sense stuff, really, but it's precious, and I think it'll help me elsewhere should I need it. Why has no one else given this advice?

In the second half of the book, he gives the top companies to look at, and breaks down what each company expects, what they charge, if anything, and what people have said about the companies. He goes pretty in-depth in the small space he gave himself.

He also talks about how to go about looking for work beyond those companies and offers some advice on what to avoid and how to keep from getting scammed. Terrific food for thought.

After going through all the hassles of driving into town (I live in a suburb of Colorado Springs now) to do the work I do well, I'm going to give this a go and get some work. He does give a caution that sometimes it may take time to get work, but I personally can be patient, and I know his information will help me find that holy grail of work-at-home customer service. This book is excellent.  I have been doing at home agent or vitual work from home for a couple of years now.  I have tried several times to explain to my friends and acquaintances what I do and how it is done.  They usually just end up confused.

This book breaks it all down so that even someone who is a novice at using the internet can understand the process and how it works. 

The author not only gives the reader the resources – online companies who hire workers to work from home – but also gives very important information on the things you need to do to work from home efficiently.  For instance,  he gives you the kind of information you should provide to prospective employers.  Also, he gives advice on what type of equipment you will need.  I know this to be extremely important because I got pretty far in the application process with one of the companies the author mentions in this book, only to find out I didn’t have enough computer memory.  This set me back quite a ways in my application process.

He also gives important information about fees you should or should not pay.  The reader should be sure to carefully read all of the information he gives about figuring out whether or not a company is legitimate.  There are sooooo many companies out there who are trying to get money from desperate at home moms who are trying to make money without paying high babysitting costs. And I have either worked for or know people who worked for almost all of the referenced companies in this book.  It’s definitely legit!

I also like the fact that the author encourages the reader to do the needed paperwork to maintain your business, because when you work from home, in reality you are in business for yourself.  Some of the companies will hire you as an independent agent which means you will be responsible to pay taxes on the money earned and you’ll need to have your itemized expenses. 

Arthur Maxwell doesn’t offer this as an easy get rich quick option, but as something that you can do if you are responsible, organized and willing to work hard.  In fact, I plan on looking into a couple of the companies he mentions in this book to see if I can get a more income coming in from additional sources!

I believe that if you follow the advice given in this book, you will definitely be on your way to a successful work at home career.
